Drawing Competition at Vidya Mandir School
What a way to celebrate Children’s day! Being with colourful children creating colourful works of art, was a great experience.
Karam Korpom Foundation, with the support of Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany, conducted a drawing competition and awareness programme on “save water” theme, at Vidya Mandir Senior Secondary School, Mylapore on 14th Nov 2018. During the morning school assembly, Mr.Dev Anand, an expert in water conservation addressed the students emphasizing on the need for conserving water. Pushparaj, a student of Government Chennai High School, R.A.Puram, who had won a trip to Germany through an elocution competition a couple of years back, gave an excellent speech and won many hearts.
About 110 students participated in the drawing competition and came up with an array of creative concepts for “save water” message. Selected themes will be painted on the school compound wall by the students and the volunteers of Karam Korpom. A leaflet containing simple ways to conserve water was given to all the participants.
By involving the students right from idea generation to wall painting, we believe that the message will get reinforced stronger and will spread to the families of the students too. The Cultural section of German Consulate participated and encouraged the students.
Thanks to all our dedicated volunteers who managed the show professionally and to the Judges Ms.Vijayshree of Vermilion Communication, Ms.Mythili of Institute of Design, Mr.Raghunath an expert Graphics and UX Designer and Mr.Sathish of Pollen Cubes.
