Play space for Corporation Schools
Most of the schools in the city do not have big play ground. Hence the physical activities of the children get restricted. Here is a way to make the children do physical activities through the floor play space. These kind of activities are fun and help children improve their motor skills as well as mind-body coordination. In Chennai, many government primary schools have limited space. Inner Wheel club of Madras wanted to create such play space in a school on an experimental basis.
Karam Korpom pitched in, designed the space and layout and executed the floor game art with the help of few volunteers last month at the Government Primary School, Kamaraj Avenue, Adyar. The play space became a huge hit instantly. Children loved it. The result was highly satisfying.
Seeing the enthusiasm and popularity, Inner Wheel wants to take up many more schools and create such interesting floor play spaces… and of course Karam Korpom is ready to jump in and execute.
Thanks to Charu and Sandhya of Inner Wheel Club of Madras for the idea and support. Thanks to KKF volunteers who helped the painting. Looking forward to create more such fun spaces to keep the children happy and healthy.
