Saidapet Govt Model School becomes attractive

Government Model school in Saidapet is one of the oldest schools in Chennai. It has produced many notable achievers including Dr.Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan. The school has a sprawling campus and a long compound wall. Thanks to the initiative of the Head Master and few donors, the school facilities are being updated well.

The school invited Karam Korpom Foundation to transform the compound wall through wall art with social messages. We decided to carry out the wall art in two phases because of its huge area measuring nearly 3000 sq ft.The first phase of the project was completed on 6th of March 2022 creating an attractive theme on the compound wall of the primary school. Nearly 60 volunteers put their time and effort in this transformation.The second phase of project was completed on 20th of March 2022, with the support of about 50 volunteers including few students from the school.

The road that leads to School now looks colourful and meaningful. Thanks the Akshaya Trust for sponsoring paints for the second phase. Thanks to the HM Mr.Shanmuga Sundaram and Mrs.Vennila Maran for the excellent support in carrying out the project without any hiccups. Thanks to all enthusiastic volunteers.
